Hi, I’m Pascale Gibon and welcome to episode 200 of the Everyday Life Balance Show.

 

Isn’t it amazing that the last path on our journey to inner peace I am about to share with you today coincides with the celebration of the 200th episode of the Everyday Life Balance Show? 

 

I love it when I receive positive reviews about the content I share with you every week.

Before I share the 10th path to inner peace, let’s celebrate the 200th episode of the show. I still remember the first episode I released, and to date, I still love hosting this podcast. I always look forward to sharing with you every Monday golden tips on how you can improve your life, find balance and increase your happiness.

 

I feel that I am entirely on purpose and in flow when I write the script for each episode. I’d be honest that there are times when I have writer’s block; however, the moment I sit down at my desk and open my computer, the inspiration comes because I set the intention to give wholeheartedly and make a difference in your life. 

 

Do you know that this transformative journey started with a single article I read in a British newspaper on the effect of stress in the City of London? I felt deep in my heart that I could help and share how to soothe inner turmoil and find peace and how to create a life in balance from the inside out. 

 

My message to the people listening who have a message to share with the world, however they hesitate, is to go for it. I am so grateful to be on purpose and to be allowed to share my message. 

 

Mahatma Gandhi said: “Be the change you want to see in the world”, and I would say: “Be the peace you want to see in the world.” The world needs peace, and a peaceful world starts with your attitude. So if you want more peace in your life, adopt a more relaxed attitude through your deeds, daily thoughts, actions and behaviour.

 

We started our journey to inner peace with the first path: to take 100% responsibility for your life. 

 

The subsequent paths on your journey to inner peace are to: 

#2: Take a deep breath

#3: Be intentional

#4: Harness the gift of awareness

#5: Become an efficient problem solver

#6: Say YES! to Love

#7: Simplify your life

#8: Adopt a carefree attitude 

#9: Live your life authentically

 

We end our journey to inner peace with the 10th path, which is to be an instrument of peace.

 

Firstly, you are an instrument of peace when you become increasingly aware of your behaviour and change your non supportive habits to become a better person. 

 

For example: When you think about your behaviour in general, is it aligned with the energy of peace, or is it rather destructive? In other words, do you create a storm with all of your interactions, or do you encourage peace?

 

To put it another way, do your thoughts, words, or actions carry peaceful energy?

Is your communication with others a peaceful one or a power struggle? 

Strive to be an instrument of peace to impact the people around you positively. When they sense the calmness of your mind, they feel very peaceful, and they carry this feeling throughout the day.

 

Secondly, remember that you are an instrument of peace when you allow the energy of peace to embrace your entire being. To embrace peace requires making time for meditation. You might be thinking, how can you find time to meditate when you have many daily tasks to accomplish. However, to become an instrument of peace, you need to find some time for contemplation. 

 

Therefore, you will need to take the time daily to be silent and connect with your higher self and infinite power to recentre.

It would help if you had this time of silence to start and end the day. You start the day with a peaceful state of mind, and you end the day releasing all of the events and stress of the day. I insist that you schedule some time for meditation every day, even if it is just 10 minutes. If you find that you cannot calm your mind, keep going. Calmness of mind will come with practice. Other meditative options are walking meditation, journaling, painting, colouring, spending some time in contemplation in nature or by a lake in the park etc. Clinical research shows that walking helps spark a “free flow” of creative thoughts and ideas.

 

Thirdly, to get unstuck and invite more peace in your life, develop the ability to let go of negative memories if you tend to hold on to them. The best way to bring more peace is to focus on your successes for more positivity and adopt an attitude of gratitude for all the love you have received.

 

The fourth point I would like to make is that to be an instrument of peace, you must choose to forgive yourself and others. Being hard on yourself, holding on to grudges or being resentful shows your resistance to peace instead of your desire for more peace of mind in your life. When you forgive yourself and others, you take the first step towards a more peaceful life.

 

Choose a Zen life for more peace of mind. Invite more peace into your life if you tend to overthink, get angry and frustrated easily, get anxious and impatient.

 

Over the last ten weeks, I have shared ten ways you can boost your inner peace, and today was the absolute path on our journey to peace. 

 

It’s been an incredible journey and fascinating to focus on peace. I hope that this series has helped you to keep harmony in mind and invite more peace into your life. I encourage you to continue to be intentional with increasing your peace of mind to create a life in balance. 

To this effect, I recommend that you continue to empower yourself by making time to revisit the 10 paths to inner peace regularly and applying them in your daily life. 

 

To deepen your progress on your journey to peace and transform your life, remember to consciously live a life of love, peace and harmony, reflect throughout the day on your attitude and ask yourself whether you are an instrument of peace or not.
