Hello, beautiful souls. Welcome to another enlightening episode of the Everyday Life Balance Show. I am your host, Pascale Gibon, and I am truly grateful for your presence here today.
In this episode 340, we embark on a profound exploration of the transformative power of intentional living.
Intentional living is such a powerful concept that deserves attention and reflection. However, intentionally living is not just a concept. It is a conscious choice to shape our lives with purpose and clarity. By the end of our time together, my intention (excuse the punt) is for you to embrace intentional living in your daily life.
Intentional living, as I see it, is akin to being the director of your life movie. It is about taking the reins and steering your journey with focus and determination. The essence of intention is purposefulness, and when we live intentionally, we align ourselves with our deepest desires and aspirations.
As the director of your life movie, intentional living allows you to design your life with positivity and set your energy frequency at a high vibration. Intentional living means focusing on your desired thoughts, feelings, actions, and being. Most importantly, it reveals how you decide to show up as you welcome a life of positivity.
Let’s delve into some practical examples of setting clear intentions.
If your intention for the day is to invite more peace into your life, you say:
"Just for today, I invite peace into my life." This intention means that you align with peace vibrational frequency and resonate peace.
“Just for today, I invite peace into my life:”
How do you feel in your body and mind when you utter these words? Since we think in pictures, what do you see? Do you see a picture of you being peaceful, meditating or strolling on the beach under a shiny blue sky surrounded by the sound of nature? This visualisation helps to anchor your intention and resonate with the frequency of peace.

Similarly, what picture comes to mind if you intend to be loving and cultivate love in your life? Is it praying and sending love to a loved one experiencing a challenging time? Do you visualise acts of kindness and compassion towards yourself and others? Is it inviting more loving thoughts in your daily life so that you live a life of love? What comes to your mind and heart when you intend to be more loving? Whether it is sending loving thoughts to a friend in need or practising forgiveness, embodying the energy of love enriches our daily experiences.
And let us remember the intention of appreciating beauty in our lives. Where do you see beauty in your environment? Where do you see beauty in others? We elevate our thoughts and vibrations when we intend to see beauty in our surroundings and others. Inviting beauty is particularly transformative in moments of judgement or criticism. We can elevate our thought frequency and align ourselves with the beauty surrounding us.
Lastly, if you intend to experience more harmony in your relationships, how can you invite more harmony? How do you align with that energy in your mind and heart?
According to the wisdom of the spiritual leader Wayne Dyer, author of “The Power Of Intention: Learning to Co-create Your World Your Way,” there are seven higher vibrations of intention. These are creativity, kindness, love, beauty, expansion, unlimited abundance, and receptivity.
But setting intentions is just the beginning. To truly embody intentional living, let me share three ideas for your consideration:
Intentional living increases and improves your self-awareness. You become what you think about. Therefore, the intention you set must be in the present tense and positive. The first idea is to be aware of your thoughts.
The second idea is to keep an open mind. This formula will help you keep an open mind: intention + attention = no tension.
When you follow the formula:
The third idea I want to share is staying in integrity as much as possible. It means that there might be some incongruence between intentions and actions. You embody intentional living when your thoughts align with your actions. Embodying intentional living requires a commitment to staying in integrity and ensuring that our thoughts, words, and deeds are in harmony with our deepest desires.
As Wayne Dyer beautifully expressed: “The surest way to realise your purpose is to eliminate any conflict or dissonance that exists between what you’re thinking and feeling and how you’re living your days. If you’re in disharmony, you activate ego-dominated attitudes of fear of failure, or disappointing others, which distance you from your purpose. Your actions need to be in harmony with your thoughts. Trust in those thoughts that harmonise, and be willing to act upon them.”
So, my dear listeners, I invite you to embrace intentional living as a guiding principle in your life, to give it meaning and feel fulfilled.
